Haymarket

The town of Haymarket, VA was founded in 1799.  During the Civil War, Union troops burned the town and only four buildings were left.  Today, the small walkable town with shops and restaurants is surrounded by new home construction that exploded in the early 2000’s.  Its prime location just off Rt. 15 and I-66 is ideal for commuters.  The growth in population has led to commercial growth as well.  You’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants including Walmart, Kohls and Fosters Grill.  The Haymarket Iceplex offers skating and hockey opportunities for people of all ages.  Today, there are number of large master planned communities including Dominion Valley and Pidemont.
