Annandale

The town of Annandale, VA is ideally located off Rt. 236 and the Capital Beltway and is home to over 40,000 residents.  The well-known Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, which has been ranked as the #1 public high school by US News & World Reports multiple times is located here.  The area is characterized by rolling hills and stream valleys that includes Accotink Creek, which was once used in Colonial times to load tobacco.  Today, Lake Accotink is a popular recreational area with boating, fishing and bike trails.  Another popular spot for bikers and runners is the 20-mile Fairfax Cross County Trail which passes through Annandale.
