Takoma Park

A majority of Takoma Park, MD sits on the Montgomery County side but there is a small portion of residents that live in Prince George’s County. Takoma Park is full of vibrant neighborhoods that are readily accessible from its bustling historic district. Many cultural and artistic events take place in and around this downtown haven. Takoma Park also came into its own due to a Metrorail station located in the heart of the old downtown area making a jump into the Nation’s Capital a simple, quick and easy one. Many of the Metro’s riders are able to walk or ride a bike to the station from their front doors. The housing market is diverse throughout Takoma Park and includes a mix of farmhouses, arts and crafts-style homes, bungalows, ranch houses and contemporary apartments among others.
