Clarksburg

Clarksburg, Maryland is located in Northern Montgomery County conveniently located along the I-270 corridor providing residents here with easy access to Washington, DC or a short drive to the Shady Grove metro stop on Metro’s Red Line. For many years Clarksburg was primarily a farming community until Montgomery County’s planning commission began to allow for large scale residential development. Today, you’ll find sprawling communities of newer homes including condos, townhomes and single family homes offering residents everything they could desire including community recreational amenities like pools, tennis courts, playgrounds and trails. Outside their own community, active residents also have the opportunity to take advantage of the many Clarksburg area parks that include lots of open green space, village greens, ball fields and hiking and biking trails across the area. The area now offers plentiful shopping and restaurants at the local Clarksburg Town Center and the Clarksburg Premium Outlets. Despite its growth, Clarksburg, however, still maintains a primarily rural character with views toward picturesque Sugarloaf Mountain in abundance.
