Rehoboth Beach

The city of Rehoboth Beach has to be considered the big daddy of the Delaware beach resorts and its popularity is skyrocketing by the day with President Joe Biden now in the White House. With the Bidens’ vacation home situated within its corporate limits, Rehoboth’s popularity may never be greater. Presidential aura aside, Rehoboth has always billed itself as “The Nation’s Summer Capital” because it is a frequent summer vacation destination for ‘regular’ visitors from Washington D.C. as well as other major East Coast cities such as Philadelphia. Vacationers are drawn to it for many reasons: the town’s charm, its vibrant boardwalk, its restaurants, museums, shops and of course, the state’s absence of a sales tax. One walk up and down the town’s main street or along its mile-long boardwalk might just sell you on its charm. If that’s not enough, the main road leading to the resort from the west features outlet stores and more restaurants than you can shake a stick at. Rehoboth Beach also maintains a bandstand near the boardwalk that provides open-air music and entertainment during the summer months. Performances have been regularly held there since 1963.
