Gainesville, VA is the third largest town in Prince William County with over 20,000 residents. Its location, about 25 miles west of Washington, DC, is ideal for commuters who want easy access to Rt. 66. Like much of PW County, the area has seen significant growth since 2000 due to new home construction as residents look westward to more affordable housing. Along with residential construction, the area has seen matching commercial growth in the area to provide shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities. Virginia Gateway offers tons of dining and shopping including Target, Lowes and Regal Cinemas. The local amphitheater, Jiffy Lube Live, is located just a few miles away in Bristow, VA. Some of the larger communities in the area include Glenkirk Estates, Lake Manassas, Virginia Oaks and Heritage Hunt, a 55+ age restricted community.
