Hyattsville
Hyattsville, MD was originally founded by Christopher Clark Hyatt with his first purchase of land in the area in 1845. The area has enjoyed a significant boom in the last 20 years thanks to a revitalization of the downtown area and the creation of an arts district. Its prime location just outside of the District of Columbia along Rt. 1 along with an eclectic mix of homes such as bungalows and arts and craft style homes has made Hyattsville a desirable place to live for the now more than 20,000 residents. There’s a plethora of shops and restaurants in the area with the Prince Georges Plaza and new University Town Center adding a mix of condos and more restaurants and entertainment including a Regal movie theater. Two Metrorail stations on the Yellow/Green line at West Hyattsville and Prince Georges Plaza provide more transportation options for those commuting into DC.
