It is not difficult to see why CNN/Money and Money Magazine named Vienna the third best place to live in the United States. Located south of the Potomac River and just west of Washington, DC, Vienna, which is home to around 20,000 residents, is centrally located with highly rated public schools and a vibrant downtown with many small businesses. Wolftrap National Park for the Performing Arts is less than 10 miles away and provides year-round entertainment from pop, country, blues, dance to theater. Fairfax Square hosts fine dining and shopping options. Restaurants in Vienna include all food types like Vietnamese, Italian, Chinese, sushi, Mexican and Mediterranean. Downtown Vienna has a weekly farmer’s market, which operates from May to October. The Washington & Old Dominion trail crosses through Vienna and offers bicyclists and runners miles and miles of paved trails on what used to be railway.
