Ocean Pines

Known as “The Pines” in local parlance, Ocean Pines is considered a census-designated place. With a growing population and active community spirit, this small resort began in 1968 and today has grown into the largest residential community in Worcester County. What makes Ocean Pines so inviting is that in addition to access to boating on the Assawoman Bay, it features multiple pools (both indoor and out), a Robert Trent Jones designed golf course, biking lanes, recreation areas and access to restaurants, shops and the Ocean Downs Casino and Racetrack located just down the road.

In addition, Ocean Pines is surrounded by other outstanding residential communities, two of which feature big-league golf layouts of their own. They include the River Run Golf Club (course designed by Gary Player) community and the community at Glen Riddle where legendary horses Man O’ War and War Admiral once galloped – across what was once the most important horse training center in America.
