Located just north of Rehoboth Beach, DE and the four major beach towns in Sussex County is Lewes, DE. The first settlement in Delaware, founded by the Dutch in 1631, Lewes is located just off Rt. 1 and Rt 9 abutting the Delaware Bay at Cape Henlopen. In fact, Lewes is the southern terminus of the Cape May – Lewes Ferry which provides car ferry access to Southern New Jersey.
Housing in the area has expanded recently as more and more residents have chosen to call the Rehoboth area their home. Housing has expanded from Rehoboth to neighboring Lewes. You’ll find newer communities such as the Moorings at Lewes and Hawkseye.
