Upper Marlboro
Just south of Prince Georges County’s county seat of Upper Marlboro, MD is the contemporary Show Place Arena – an architectural delight and home to the county’s fair, concerts and other special events. Although the ‘town’ portion is very small and located at the junction of Rt. 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) and Rt. 301, the Greater Upper Marlboro area with its population of nearly 20,000 residents is expansive ranging from Central Avenue to Rt. 4 then out to Rt. 301. The area is rich in history and dates back to the early 1700s. Today, you’ll find a mix of residential and rural living away from the hustle bustle inside the Capital Beltway. Given the large area, there is a wide variety of home styles that come with a wide range of prices making it a great opportunity for buyers in all price ranges. You’ll find newer townhomes in the communities of Armstrong Village and Westphalia Town Center.
