District Heights, MD is located just east of the District line via Pennsylvania Avenue. Its close proximity to Washington, DC makes commuting to the city a breeze. Residents also have easy access to the Capital Beltway. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s Metro Bus system provides transportation options for area residents. There are plenty of dining and shopping options in the area such as Giant Food, CVS, Chick-Fil-A, Wendys, Panda Express, the Crafty Crab and Pizza Boli’s. In District Heights you’ll find a nice mix of homes from condos to row houses to single-family homes most of which are older dating back to the 1920s. You will also find some newer communities in the area such as Gateway Park and the Avenue at Forest Run.
