Germantown is perhaps the fastest-growing region of Montgomery County, due mainly to its affordability in housing and its location within 30 miles of Washington D.C. It’s wide variety of housing, shopping, recreational activities and dining belies it’s heritage as a farming village. Germantown is also easily reachable to the cities of Frederick and Baltimore, as it is located along the I-270 corridor near the Frederick County line. Nearly 100,000 residents call Germantown home making it the second largest city in Maryland after Baltimore and Columbia.

Those commuting into Washington, DC can choose to drive via I-270 or use MARC’s Brunswick line which offers a stop conveniently located in Germantown. Germantown is also well known for being a cultural, social and recreational center with some of its most famous attractions being the Maryland SoccerPlex, a multi-field soccer facility offering a wide range of programs, Seneca Creek State Park, featuring a lake with boating, fishing and hiking trails, and South Germantown Recreational Park, which includes trails, picnic facilities and a wide range of other offerings.
