McLean

Bordering the Potomac River, McLean, Virginia is a high-powered town of over 50,000 residents located just to the west of Washington, DC, off Rt. 123 between the Capital Beltway and the George Washington Pkwy. McLean is also accessible via Metro’s Silver Line. Home to many diplomats, businessmen, and government officials, it is known for high-end shopping destinations and luxury homes. The area is full of entertainment, shopping and fine dining opportunities.

Those wanting to shop will enjoy Tysons Corner Center and Tysons Galleria both with high-end shopping and dining. Companies based in McLean include Mars, Freddie Mac, Booz Allen Hamilton, Capital One and Hilton Worldwide. The CIA headquarters is also located in McLean. Scott’s Run Nature Preserve is good for hiking, bird watching, learning and children’s summer camps. Fort Marcy Park is home to some of the Civil War’s best preserved Union military defenses and includes a multitude of wildlife.
