Beltsville
With a number of historic homes and buildings still standing in town, Beltsville, MD has an aura all its own. Located just north of the Capital Beltway along the I-95 and Rt. 1 corridors, Beltsville is a community of more than 20,000 residents. Its close proximity to I-95 and the Beltway makes for easy access to any part of the Washington DC metropolitan area. The town was named after a local landowner, Truman Belt and is home to the Beltsville Agriculture Research Center. While most of the homes in the area tend to be smaller and well established, new home construction in the area has blossomed with the addition of communities like Brick Yard Station. The area is not short on shopping and restaurants either. The Rt. 1 corridor provides area residents with abundant options for essential needs and socialization.
